Defect Summary

Trans tech bus (trans tech) is recalling certain 2018-2021 sst, cst, sstflr and cstflr school buses. in the event of a rollover, the emergency exit windows may not open. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 220, "school bus rollover protection."

Safety Consequence

An emergency exit window that does not open can increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and repair the emergency exit windows as necessary, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed september 25, 2024. owners may contact trans tech customer service at 1-845-988-2333.
