Corp. Micro bird, inc. (micro bird) is recalling one 2023 g5 transit bus. the engine drive belt tensioner may fail, resulting in a loose drive belt.
Safety Consequence
A loose drive belt can result in a loss of power steering, or a loss of alternator and water pump function, increasing the risk of a crash. additionally, the engine may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
A dealer will replace the engine drive belt tensioner and belt, free of charge. an owner notification letter was mailed november 6, 2024. owners can contact micro bird customer service at 819-477-2012. micro bird's number for this recall is 24-111-guc.
