Defect Summary
Nikola corporation (nikola) is recalling certain 2022-2023 tre bev vehicles. a resistor may degrade, causing the instrument panel to fail. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 101, "control and displays."
Safety Consequence
An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the instrument panel, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed december 4, 2024. owners may contact nikola customer service at 1-888-268-1181. nikola's number for this recall is 24vdc0903.
