Defect Summary

Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24v-293. the body control module (bcm) may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear tail lights.

Safety Consequence

Rear tail lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will update the body control module software, free of charge. owner notification letters were mailed march 28, 2025. owners may contact ford customer service at 866-436-7332. ford's number for this recall is 25s07.
