Defect Summary

The base of the valve in the tube cannot be properly positioned due to mismatched size of the valve stem and wheel valve hole. This causes a fold to form in the tube adjacent to the valve base, which may eventually cause the tube to lose air pressure.

Corrective Action

The tubes in recall tires will be replaced with a 700r15 tube having a tr13 valve at no charge. Owners are being notified by goodyear tire and rubber company, nhtsa campaign number 81t011000.
