Defect Summary

A possibility exists on the involved vehicles, that due to vibrations generated by the truck, the fuel filter"s top connector may break from the bottom of the fuel tank due to metal fatigue. This failure allows the diesel ignition improver to spray out fuel.

Corrective Action

The dealer will inspect and, if necessary, remove the filters from the tank and install a flexible hose from the bottom of the tank to the filter.
