Defect Summary

The tires of the front axle assembly may come into contact with a floor support crossmember and limited tire clearance between the front tires and the wood decking will result. When trailer is loaded the tire will rub against the support crossmember causing tire damage or failure. Should the load have a high center of gravity the trailer may sway, causing the tires to come into contact with the wood decking.

Corrective Action

The crossmember will be replaced and repositioned to avoid contact with the tires.
