Defect Summary

Fuel line assembly is a flex fitting design that transfers fuel to the fuel injection pump from the fuel filters. the flange on the fuel line may crack.

Safety Consequence

A cracked flange would allow diesel fuel to spray fromthe filter hose until engine shuts down due to lack of fuel. there is also apotential of engine compartment fire.

Corrective Action

A new improved designed hose will be installed to replace the old hose.
