Pintle body chemistry and heat treat problem which results in decreased pintle horn strength.
Safety Consequence
With the decreased strength in the pintle hook horn itcould allow separation of the tractor and trailer.
Corrective Action
The pintle hook will be replaced with a new properly heat treated and correct material.
