Defect Summary

Rear axle must be rerated from its present 21,200 lbs. Gawr to 20,000 lbs. As the maximum load carrying capacity of the axle to comply with fmvss 121.

Safety Consequence

Trucks do not comply with standard.

Corrective Action

Rerate rear axle to 20,000 gawr.
