Defect Summary

Power steering pumps may have a ridge inside the aluminum housing which could detach itself from the housing and become wedged inside the relief valve, keeping it open.

Safety Consequence

This could result in sudden loss of assistance to thesteering with the potential for an accident.

Corrective Action

Replace power steering pump.
