Defect Summary

Mounting brackets used to attach the spare tire carrier assembly to the trailer frame may fail.

Safety Consequence

Failure of the mounting bracket results in the spare tireassembly separating from the trailer and causing the spare tire to fall off,creating a road hazard which may result in vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Replace brackets with modified brackets.
