Defect Summary

Plastic pin inside the buckle shield can break after force is applied in repeated use.

Safety Consequence

The broken shield would make the buckle difficult to fasten; if the buckle is not securely fastened, the child would not be properly restrained in a sudden stop or accident.

Corrective Action

Install new shield that will be sent by fisher price to involved seat owners calling the toll free number 800-527-1034.
