Defect Summary

Tires may bear wrong size paper label on the tread of the tire, although proper size is molded on the sidewall.

Safety Consequence

Mounting and inflation of 16 inch tires on 16.5 inch rims could be extremely hazardous and can cause injury or death.

Corrective Action

Return mislabeled tires to dealer for removal of label and installation of correct replacement labels.
