Defect Summary

Internal stresses of the heater may cause the cover to the heater unit fuel pump to loosen, resulting in a fuel leak.

Safety Consequence

Leaking fuel results in vehicle fire when exposed to asource of ignition.

Corrective Action

Replace and strengthen bolt connections between the pump housing and the pump cover with longer bolts.
