Defect Summary

Plastic laminate on the buckle shield can break after force is applied in repeated use.

Safety Consequence

The broken plastic laminate on the shield would make thebuckle difficult to fasten; if the buckle is not securely fastened, the childwould not be properly restrained in a sudden stop or accident.

Corrective Action

Install new shield that will be sent by fisher price to affected seat owners by calling the toll-free number 1-800-332-3457.
