Defect Summary

The windshield wiper system hardware was incorrectly mounted, causing wiper blade overtravel and premature wear, and in extreme cases, the wiper blades may fail to correctly travel over the windshield.

Safety Consequence

Insufficient windshield wiper performance reducesoperator visibility in inclement weather and could result in a vehicle accident.

Corrective Action

Modify the mounting of the windshield wiper hardware and replace the passenger side pivot arm.
