These wheels are composed of 2 pieces - a disc and a rim which are normally welded together. These wheels lack the specified fillet welds.
Safety Consequence
If wheel separation occurs while the vehicle is inmotion, both steering and braking could be affected resulting in a vehiclecrash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect the manufacturing codes stamped on each wheel and if a wheel falls within the specified date code range, the dealer will replace that wheel.
