Defect Summary

The fuel tank strap can break allowing a slight upward movement of the tank. a dual fuel tank strap breakage can also allow the tank to slide forward or rearward.

Safety Consequence

Movement of the fuel tank can allow diesel fuel to leak, possibly resulting in a vehicle fire.

Corrective Action

The top fuel tank strap will be replaced with a redesigned, thicker strap.
