Defect Summary

The wiring to the breakaway switch located on the park trailer a-frame was incorrectly installed. This switch activates the trailer brakes if the park trailer becomes disconnected from the tow vehicle during towing.

Safety Consequence

If the park trailer were to become disconnected during towing, the trailer brakes would not be activated increasing the potential fora vehicle accident.

Corrective Action

Owners will be supplied with a kit and instructions to correct the wiring of this switch. if owners prefer, their dealer can perform the rewiring of the switch for them without charge.
