Defect Summary

Vehicle description: passsenger vehicles. some of these vehicles have a poorly manufactured vacuum check valve located in the vacuum hose between the intake manifold and brake vacuum booster.

Safety Consequence

When the brake pedal is depressed, the vacuum booster check valve can stick to the valve body, causing in a reduction or loss of vacuum boost resulting in decrease in brake efficiency.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the brake vacuum hose on these vehicles.
