Defect Summary

Vehicle description: sport utility vehicles. the nuts used to attach the master cylinder to the hydroboost bolts were of the metric type rather than the required english type.

Safety Consequence

A loose master cylinder condition can occur, causing longer than normal brake pedal travel during brake pedal applications.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the master cylinder-to-hydroboost mounting bolts and nuts.
